Belief Can Get Clients

January 10th, 2012 by admin No comments »

You must believe that you can get clients. One of the most damaging things I hear business owners do at the moment is talk about how bad things are and how there is no money around.

I can hold my hand up and say I’ve done it too. And when I catch myself, then I remind myself, I am creating my own reality through my thoughts and beliefs. And what I focus on is what I get.

Beware of taking part in chit chat about how bad the economy is, how business is suffering in your part of the world, the negative news, etc. The more attention you give to anything, the bigger it gets.

Try going on a news blackout for a few days to up your positivity vibes, after all, the reporters are paid to go out and find the most negative stories possible. You do not have to read, watch or listen.

Remember, more millionaires were created in the Great Depression than at any other time and it was much worse then than it is now.

If you believe that there are not enough potential clients in your area or not enough interested in your field, then that is the truth for you. And that’s exactly what you get. The trick is to seek out the evidence of what you want and give it lots of attention.

There is an unlimited supply of abundance on this planet. Take nature, for example, try counting the grains of sand on a beach or leaves on a tree! And the one thing we all need to survive, air. We totally take that for granted – how often do you wake up in the morning and start worrying about whether or not there is enough air for you today?

It boils down to faith. We have unwavering faith that the air is there for us. We actually have faith about most things in our life. Think about when you get in your car and drive, you have faith that other people on the road will stay on their side of the road. Or when you go out to buy a loaf of bread, that you will return safe and sound.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we had that same faith about clients and money?

I invite you to make the decision from today that there is an abundance of clients in your area, and an abundance of clients that want to work with you and pay you well for your services and products. And then hold the faith that it is all happening for you. Faith is the bridge between where you are now and what you desire.

Business Development for the small business solopreneur or solo-practitioner can often be a daunting task especially for those that have to wear all the hats and are not able to outsource or hire any help. This is a dilemma that many small business owners have to deal with on a continual daily and weekly basis, so in this article I am going to explain how you can setup a simple system to help you generate new business and do so by semi-automating the process.

You want more leads. You want more business. But you don’t have enough time in the day to do it all. Depending on your type of business, the ‘biz dev’ activities might the very last item on your to do list.

For introverts, the thought of going out and developing new business can be almost downright sickening. Extroverts on the other hand will be more likely to tackle the task and look forward to it.

No matter which one you are, let’s take a look at how you can develop more business and even partially automate the process.

To get your business development machine up and running here are 7 Steps you can take to get the process moving in the right direction:

1. Determine how much business you can handle. Be specific. If it’s five new accounts that will get you to your goal, then I suggest you go for seven. That way if one or two fall off the bandwagon or don’t work out, then you have still made your goal.

2. Determine how you intend to develop this new business – online or offline or both. Once you determine this, then search for the best channels to broadcast your message.

3. Create lead generating magnets (ads and materials) to attract new business and then semi-automate the process with an email auto-responder.

4. Purchase, place and test your lead generating ads in publications, websites and social media sites that will give you the best exposure to your target audience. These ads can run around the clock if you choose.

5. Make sure to use an email auto-responder in all of your lead generating ads so you can capture and cultivate as many leads as possible. You will need to write the messages in advance so plan on taking the time to do this.

6. Establish daily and weekly goals then review to keep yourself accountable.

7. Get started immediately as it is easy to procrastinate, delay and put off till tomorrow what can be done today.

With all the variety of electronic tools available in the marketplace today, do yourself a favor by taking advantage of them in your business development efforts. You will be glad you did and you might even sleep better at night knowing that your efforts are still working even though you are sleeping.
